As home remodeling professionals, we strive to give each client a unique look that suits their desires and needs. The owners of this 90s home wanted a fresh and original bathroom that utilizes both modern and natural elements. We noted our clients’ taste for the sleek and sophisticated, and paired that with references to the natural hill setting of this home in Forest Heights, Northwest Portland, (an area currently in high demand.) Our team developed an organic and textural, yet crisp and refined design. The bath manages to be glamorous without being glitzy, and masculine without being rustic.
Our designer’s talent for creative and unique design is first reflected in the complete floor to ceiling mini stacked black onyx rock wall. Showcased on this show-stopping wall is a suspended sapele mahogany vanity with a Decolav vessel sink– the sweet cherry on top.
Opposite the old vanity cabinets (which previously provided little storage for this active couple) were taken out and replaced with built-in custom floor-to-ceiling cabinets. This change did not delete any bathroom space and did add plenty of storage to it. Painted on the surrounding walls is Benjamin Moore’s Silver Fox (an apropos name for the sleek, yet natural style of this bathroom).
Lining the floors are 12” X 24” gray plank porcelain tile with faint gray stripes– a natural compliment to the stone wall and wood cabinetry. Finally, to light up this one-of-a-kind bathroom, we used Tech Lighting’s MonoRail lighting system and Bangle pendants, paired with the latest Legrand outlets and switches. Needless to say, this bathroom is now a dynamite combination suitable to the sophistication of our refined clients.
We are very proud of our Northland Design & Build reputation as home remodeling contractors with a unique natural, yet sophisticated design vision.
